Humanitarian/Service Projects

Some believe that doing service work with friends is the best part of being in a PTPI University Chapter. Chapter members plan and implement service projects throughout the year. This is your chance to do something about the issues you care most about.

Service Project Ideas:

• Collect school supplies for children in war-torn countries with Operation International Children
• Help sponsor a landmine eradication team through PTPI's Global Landmine Initiative
• Volunteer locally for Global Youth Service Day 

 

Cultural Projects

Energize your chapter members and educate the community about various cultures with an internationally focused project.

International Project Ideas:

• Host an international dinner. Chapter dinner functions, monthly meetings, private parties and other occasions provide opportunities for you to cook and serve intriguing international dishes. These occasions can be strictly entertainment for your members or a means of raising funds for your chapter.
• Take part in an ethnic or international festival. Ethnic festivals can be as simple as reserving booth space, making arrangements to be part of the planning committee, or sharing informational brochures at the event. Another option is to host your own international festival. By joining forces with other international clubs on your campus, you can organize a wonderful event complete with food, entertainment and fun!
• Form a homestay group or host visitors from PTPI Chapters in other countries through PTPI's International Visitors Program.
