Student Chapter Objectives

Student Chapters engage in critical thought and action that lead to understanding.  PTPI's Pyungtaek, South Korea (Shinhan High School) Student Chapter

The objectives of the chapter program include:
 

  • Increase cultural awareness within your community
  • Promote Peace through Understanding
  • Engage in service and humanitarian activities
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Build long-lasting relationships between cultures

Chapters meet regularly and take part in inspiring community projects and events! Student efforts range from sending aid items to earthquake victims, raising awareness about genocide, volunteering in orphanages to hosting PTPI cultural celebrations at schools.

Student Chapter Requirements

 

While chapters are allowed freedom to choose their activities, chapters plan a minimum of 12 meetings or events annually that fall under five programming categories that aim to promote Peace through Understanding:

 

  1. Service/humanitarian work
  2. Cultural understanding
  3. Education: of self, chapter and community
  4. Public relations
  5. Membership recruitment
