In the spring of 2006, People to People International (PTPI) introduced new initiatives aimed at young adults. PTPI's Young Generation (YG) was born!
People to People International's Young Generation members are between the ages of 18 and 25. The Young Generation serves as a transition between PTPI student programs (Global Youth Forum, Student Chapters, Student Ambassador Programs, Peace Camp, etc.) and PTPI adult programs. YGs promote the mission of PTPI ~ international understanding, humanitarianism and cultural awareness, but are not confined to the traditional chapter structure.
Young Generation Programs are flexible in nature and adapt to members time constraints and interests. Programs offer the opportunity to reunite with fellow alumni, meet like-minded people and participate in humanitarian programming. YG Programs also strive to meet a variety of interest levels. Examples of programming include an online community, College and University Chapters, weekend seminars or meetings, and humanitarian programs held in the summer months.
