PTPI's St. Louis, Missouri USA Student Chapter, was started by an ambitious Student
Ambassador on a mission to change the world. Jesse describes his motivation for
starting a PTPI Student Chapter:
"In the summer of 2007, I got the idea to start a PTPI Student Chapter. I had traveled
with People to People Ambassador Programs two times before; to Washington D.C. and
to London, Paris and Brussels on another. I was online renewing my membership when
I read about PTPI Student Chapters. I thought it would be a good idea to join a
chapter, but I saw there was not one established in St. Louis, MO. So I decided
to start one myself. I grabbed an adult advisor, a friend who had traveled with
People to People International before, and 12 other people and I set a meeting date.
Soon, we were officially chartered as the People to People International St. Louis,
MO Student Chapter!"
