A sampling of School and Classroom Program projects is featured in this section. These projects and others are described in the program manual given to teachers who register with the School and Classroom Program. The program is flexible, allowing teachers to modify or create new projects to fit their needs. Please visit the web site periodically for the announcement of new projects.

Global Youth Murals Project
     Annual project and contest inviting students to create artwork for exhibit.
Letter or Email Exchange Project
     Pen pal correspondence between partner classes.
Poems for Peace in Our World
     Students compose poems to be considered for publication in PTPI's student
     newsletter, Our World.
Hometown Project
     Ongoing project to assemble an understanding of a partner classroom's hometown.
Community Service Project Award
     Students perform a service for their communities, earning recognition and a
     monetary award from PTPI.
Traveling Buddy
     Partner classes exchange a stuffed toy helping students to learn about one another.
Everyone Smiles in the Same Language
     Students exchange photographs and create gratitude journals describing what
     makes them smile.
Connecting with Children in Azerbaijan
     Middle- and secondary-school classes join PTPI's efforts to raise awareness
     about the global landmine crisis while forming friendships with Azeri children
     affected by this problem.
