Letter or Email Exchange Project

The PTPI School and Classroom Program encourages classrooms to build the foundation of their relationship with a project that acquaints students with those of their partner classroom. A letter that includes a photograph or an email message from each student is a good way to begin.

Please review the sample letter or sample email message. Letters and email messages may be supplemented with photographs, drawings, scanned images etc. Classrooms may also incorporate elements of other School and Classroom Program projects, such as the Postcard Project, in their letter and email exchanges.

Classrooms may choose to focus upon the Letter or Email Exchange Project during the entire duration of their partnership. Or, classrooms may exchange letters and emails intermittently during collaboration on other projects.
