People to People International offers a limited number of loans in the amount of $1,000 to student travelers. To apply for a loan you must be a current member of People to People International and have paid your deposit for your Student Ambassador trip. The loan will go towards the balance of your Student Ambassador or Sports Ambassador program. Selections are made by the Student Loan Committee.

DEADLINE FOR THE STUDENT LOAN APPLICATION IS MARCH 15, 2010. The Student Loan recipients will be notified by email April 1st, 2010. Repayment of interest-free loans begins with the due date of September 15th, 2010 and will be paid off in monthly increments of $100.00.

Please remember, if you qualify for a loan, it is with the understanding that the loan amount will be paid back on a definite monthly schedule. If you are unable to fulfill this obligation, please do not submit an application for a loan.

To apply for a Student Loan for the 2010 travel season, log in to the Members Only Section at www.ptpi.org by entering your PTPI username and password. If you are not yet a member, you may join now. Once you are logged in, select "Apply for a Loan". When you begin the application process make sure you are able to fill it out in a timely manner. Your application session will automatically terminate after 30 minutes of inactivity and you will lose all information you have entered into the application system.
