The inaugural Friend-Raise Awareness can be held any day between Friday, November 2 and Sunday, November 11. PTPI World Headquarters asks that each member of the Young Generation host an informal gathering of friends, classmates, and coworkers with the purpose to raise awareness of the designated cause. This can be a potluck held in your residence, pizza in the student union, a discussion at a favorite coffeehouse, or dinner at a local restaurant. The venue is entirely up to you and should be decided based upon your audience. The goal is not necessarily to raise money for the cause, although donations are welcome, but to raise awareness. PTPI World Headquarters will provide you with an Awareness Kit that will accentuate your presentation and make your job of host easy and enjoyable.

The first Friend-Raise Awareness in the series focuses on The School of St. Jude. The School of St. Jude is a sponsorship supported English Medium School in Tanzania that primarily serves orphaned and vulnerable children from the lowest socio-economic backgrounds. The school blends the best of Western and Tanzanian instructional methods to instill critical thinking and high moral values in students who will later become the leaders and builders of Tanzania. There is no charge to participate in PTPI's inaugural Friend-Raise Awareness! All you need to do is register with PTPI World Headquarters (click on the Register tab), choose a date preferably within the given timeframe, pick a favorite spot for a gathering, and invite ten or more guests to attend. It’s that simple! We hope you will participate and find this a rewarding experience for yourself as you introduce like-minded peers to PTPI and the School of St. Jude.
