A: Visits are usually 3-4 days.

A: You will be hosted in the home of a PTPI Chapter Member.

Each place listed has a PTPI Community Chapter.

A: Diplomats and their staff are welcome to apply.

What will I do when I'm there?
A: The participant will experience firsthand the
variety of American culture and the diversity
of its people in the true people-to-people atmosphere.
Visits will include a schedule of meetings with
local officials, media, businesses, factories,
farms, universities, etc., which are arranged
to accommodate the diplomat's professional and
personal interest.
Q:
What costs are involved?
A: Diplomats are responsible for their round-trip
transportation from their city of assignment to
the local community. People to People will provide
substantive program of meetings in the local community,
all meals, all local transportation, and an advance
copy of the itinerary and information on the local
community prior to arrival. Participation of spouses
is encouraged. If transportation cost is a problem,
PTPI will consider assisting.
Q: Do
I have to be a member?
No, PTPI Membership is encouraged, but not required
to participate.
