Chapter Membership Award

(Community and University/Student Chapter)

AWARD:
The Chapter Membership Award is an award for chapters who have had successful membership recruitment and retention activities and have increased overall membership numbers. A plaque will be awarded to the recipient(s). No more than eight (8) chapters will receive this award each one (1) fiscal year (January through December).

CRITERIA:
The award may be presented to chapters who have a high percentage increase in members in one calendar year and who have had successful membership recruitment and retention activities. There may be up to two (2) recipients per region (Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Mid East-Africa), with one at the Community Chapter level and one at the University/Student Chapter level. Those chapters with less than ten (10) members are not eligible. Chapter dues must be paid to PTPI World Headquarters by January 15 to be eligible for this award.

NOMINATION:
Written nominations for the Chapter Membership Award may be submitted by any current dues paying member of People to People International. Nominations must include a description of how the nominee meets the criteria for this award, such as membership recruitment and retention activities. Chapter membership numbers will be monitored by PTPI World Headquarters Office. Chapters may receive this award in consecutive years.

SELECTION:
People to People International’s Regional Liaisons will make recommendations to the Awards Committee for a recipient from the respective region. People to People International World Headquarters membership department will provide information on membership numbers and dues payments. The Awards Committee will determine the recipient of the award based on the above recommendations. The Committee will present them to the Board of Directors for information rather than approval by or during the June meeting of the Board of Directors.

PRESENTATION:
The Chapter Membership Award will be presented at the most appropriate time and place following the selection of the recipients. The presentation should reflect the dignity of the award. The Annual Board of Trustees Meeting, the Worldwide Conference or the National or Regional Council meeting are the customary affairs for the presentation. The presentation should be made by the CEO and/or President of People to People International.

ADMINISTRATION:
Written nominations for the Chapter Membership Award must be received at People to People International Headquarters by April 1st. Nominations should always be for chapters with membership data pertaining to the previous calendar year.
