Leadership Award
AWARD:
The Chapter Leadership Award is presented to an officer
of a People to People International Chapter who has
excelled in their position of leadership and contributed
substantially to the overall development of the chapter.
A plaque will be awarded to the recipient. No more than
one (1) recipient of the Chapter Leadership Award may
be selected in any one (1) fiscal year (January through
December)
CRITERIA:
The award may be presented to a chapter president, vice-president,
secretary, treasurer, homestay coordinator, or any other
officer of the chapter who has excelled in their position
of leadership and contributed substantially to the overall
development of the chapter.
NOMINATION:
Written nominations for the Chapter Leadership Award
may be submitted by any current dues paying member of
People to People International. Nominations must include
a description of how the nominee meets the criteria
for this award, along with biographical information
about the nominee.
SELECTION:
The Awards Committee will determine the recipient of
the award among those nominated. The Committee will
present them to the Board of Directors for information
rather than approval during the June meeting of the
Board of Directors. Nominations will be accepted in
consecutive years for the same individual though the
recipient must wait one (1) fiscal year following the
receipt to be awarded again.
PRESENTATION:
The Chapter Leadership Award will be presented at the
most appropriate time and place following the selection
of the recipients. The presentation should reflect the
dignity of the award. The Annual Board of Trustees Meeting,
the Worldwide Conference or the National or Regional
Council meeting are the customary affairs for the presentation.
The presentation should be made by the CEO and/or President
of People to People International.
ADMINISTRATION:
Written nominations for the Chapter Leadership Award
must be received at People to People International Headquarters
by May 1st.
Nominations should always be for a person who has met
the award criteria in the previous year.
Nominations should include a detailed description of
the nominee's leadership and development activities
in the chapter, and any additional information that
may assist the Awards Committee with selection.
