PTPI Chapter Grant Criteria:
Chapter Grants are intended to financially assist chapters as they plan and carry
out programs. PTPI strives to assist the largest number of chapters the budget
will allow.
Types of Grants:
PTPI offers two types of grants:
- Chapter Grant of $250.00
- Chapter Matching Grant– PTPI will match chapter funds, up to $1000 USD.
Programs that may receive chapter grants:
- Local community events;
- Chapter fundraisers;
- Networking with other organizations;
- Exchanges through the International Visitors Program;
- Assisting students who wish to participate in the Global Youth Forum;
- Global Youth Service Day projects;
- Cultural programs;
- Humanitarian programs;
- Chapter liability insurance.
Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis with application deadlines on March 15,
June 15, September 15 and December 15. The PTPI Chapter Grant application can be

Freedom to Create Prize (Deadline: August 15)
Established in 2008, the Freedom to Create Prize is a celebration of the courage and creativity of artists around the world who use their talents to promote social justice, build the foundations for open societies and inspire the human spirit. It is open to artists in all creative fields. Each year, $125,000 in prize money is awarded across three categories. The Youth Prize is open to artists or groups whose participants are under the age of 18. The $25,000 prize will be divided into two components. The winner will receive $10,000. The remaining $15,000 will be given to an organization nominated by the winning entrant to further the cause that the artwork has highlighted.

Disney's Friends for Change Grants (Deadline: July 15)
Disney, together with YSA, is gearing up for this year's second round of applications
for the Disney Friends for Change Grants. Friends for Change funds youth-led service
projects that focus on making environmentally friendly changes and engaging youth,
ages 5-18, as leaders in their community. YSA will award 75 $500 grants to youth-led
service initiatives around the world. Eligible applicants will be asked to implement
their projects between September and November and to connect their projects to environmentally-focused
days of service. YSA will host webinars on June 29 and July 6 for interested applicants

Open Meadows Foundation Grants (Deadline: August 14)
Open Meadows Foundation makes grants for projects that are led by and benefit women
and girls, particularly those from vulnerable communities. Grants of up to $2,000
are available for projects that are designed and implemented by women and girls;
promote building community power; promote gender, racial, social, economic and/or
environmental justice; reflect the diversity of the community served; and have limited
financial access. Grants are made to international organizations (based outside
the U.S.), as well as organizations/projects within the United States. All applicants
must provide evidence of nonprofit registration. The next application deadline is
August 14, 2010.

Do Something Seed Grants (Deadline: Ongoing)
Are you working to start a community action project or program? Do you need money
to put your ideas into action? If you answered, "YES!” you are eligible to apply
for a Do Something Seed Grant. $500 Do Something Seed Grants are awarded every week
to help young people just like YOU! Do Something Seed Grants are targeted towards
project ideas and programs that are just getting started. These are grants for all
types of community action projects around causes that you care about and are important
in your community! You will be notified whether or not you have won within 2-3 months

Do Something Growth Grants (Deadline: Ongoing)
Did you create a sustainable community action project, program or organization that
you want to grow? Are you looking for funding to take your already successful project
to the next level? If you answered, "YES!” you are eligible to apply for a Do Something
Growth Grant. $500 Do Something Growth Grant are awarded every week! Do Something
Growth Grants are targeted towards projects that are already developed and sustainable.
These grants go towards the next steps of your project and organization to help
you as you look to expand your project and grow your impact. You will be notified
whether or not you have won within 2-3 months after submission. For more information
