Operation International Children

Program Closure Message:

After nine years and 358,763 school supply kits, Operation International Children (OIC) will soon be sending its final shipment. Please visit www.operationinternationalchildren.org for a closing message from OIC's founders.

From 2004-2013, Operation International Children (OIC) was a grass-roots program founded by actor Gary Sinise (CSI: NY, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13) and author Laura Hillenbrand (Seabiscuit: An American Legend). Sinise and Hillenbrand created OIC to give concerned citizens of the world a way to reach out to children in war-stricken countries and support American troops in their efforts to assist them.

OIC delivered over 300,000 school supply kits to countries where the United States had a military presence and service members distributed the supplies to area schools.
