A: Chapters are volunteer organizations that accomplish the goal of instilling
Peace through Understanding to their communities by engaging members to learn more about other cultures, host international visitors, participate in humanitarian initiatives and collaborate with like-minded organizations.
Q: Who belongs to PTPI Chapters?
A: People from all walks of life—from adult professionals to students—participate as members of PTPI Chapters throughout the world. Their common bond is a commitment to advancing international understanding and friendship through the exchange of cultural experiences and humanitarian initiatives. Everyone is welcome!
Q: What do chapters do?
A: Chapters offer a variety of programs and activities that benefit their communities. The sky’s the limit! Their efforts encompass a broad array of interests that offer educational and cultural events to advance international understanding, cultural exchanges through Homestays, hosting of diplomats that provide special meetings with local officials and participation in community service activities and humanitarian initiatives that help others.

A: Membership dues are minimal and vary by region. Contact chapters@ptpi.org for more information.

A: The three basic ingredients to a successful chapter are leadership, programs and membership. Nothing effective will happen without officers who lead and provide membership with programs and activities through which they can realize their own goals and aspirations.
