C: Student Chapter Award

AWARD:
The James T. Doty Memorial Award for student chapters is a monetary award for having initiated a new program or event during a calendar year which contributes to the advancement of the goals of People to People International.
The award consists of two plaques and a monetary award of $500.00. One plaque is presented to the recipient. The other remains at People to People International Headquarters which has an engraved listing of recipients.

CRITERIA:
The award may be presented to a student chapter for having initiated a new program or event during a calendar year which makes an important contribution in advancing the purposes of People to People International.
No more than two (2) such awards will be presented each year.

NOMINATION:
Written nominations of Student Chapters for the receipt of the James T. Doty Memorial Award will be solicited by People to People International Headquarters in February. Nominations can only be submitted for programs which occurred during the previous calendar year. Written nominations must be submitted by Adult Advisors, Chapter Presidents, or Chapter members, or members of the Board of Directors or the Board of Trustees. Adult Advisors, Chapter Presidents and Chapter members may submit written nominations for their own programs.

SELECTION:
The Awards Committee will determine who receives the award among those nominated.

PRESENTATION:
The award may be presented at the Annual Board of Trustees Meeting, the Worldwide Conference, Global Youth Forum, or an otherwise designated function. Certificates of Honorable Mention are also awarded.

ADMINISTRATION:
Written nominations for the James T. Doty Memorial Award must be received at People to People International Headquarters by May 1st. Nominations should always be for a program which was planned and executed in the previous calendar year. Nominations should include a detailed project description, a project program (if applicable) and any additional information which may assist in describing the program.
