People to People International bestows several awards
of the highest caliber each year to world leaders who
have made a difference in creating "peace through understanding."
The Eisenhower Medallion, PTPI's most prestigious award
is generally given annually to a person who has made
a significant impact on world events through their leadership
efforts. Some of the past recipients include: the Archbishop
Desmond Tutu, then Vice President George W. Bush, President
Ronald Reagan, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat (posthumously)
and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin (posthumously).

In addition, People to People strives to recognize
its volunteers and community leaders who make a difference
every day in their community and on the national or
