Leadership Award
C: National and Regional Councils
AWARD:
The Outstanding Leadership Award at the National and
Regional Council level is presented by People to People
International. This award is a beveled round award made
of glass with a walnut stand. The People to People International
logo and the recipient's name are etched into the glass.
The award cites the recipient as a People to People
International leader at the National and Regional Council
level. The CEO and/or President of People to People
International decide how many Outstanding Leadership
Awards at the National and Regional Council level will
be awarded per one (1) fiscal year.
CRITERIA:
The Outstanding Leadership Award at the National and
Regional Council level may be presented to a national
or regional leader who has made a substantial contribution
to People to People International for a period of at
least 2 or 3 years, depending on the respective council's
by-laws.
NOMINATION:
Written nominations for the Outstanding Leadership Award
at the National and Regional Council Level may be submitted
by members of the Board of Trustees, Council Chairpersons
or by Chapter Presidents of People to People International
to the Awards Liaison at People to People International
Headquarters who will then forward all nominations to
the President of People to People International.
SELECTION:
The President of People to People International will
make the final selection. Recipients of the Outstanding
Leadership Award at the National and Regional Council
level must be presented to the Board of Directors for
information rather than approval. No individual may
receive more than one (1) such award in this category
from People to People International.
PRESENTATION:
The Outstanding Leadership Award at the National and
Regional Council Level will be presented at the most
appropriate time and place following the selection of
the recipients. The presentation should reflect the
dignity of the award. The Annual Board of Trustees Meeting,
the Worldwide Conference or the National or Regional
Council meetings are the customary affairs for the presentation.
Another time and place may be selected if circumstances
so dictate. The presentation should be made by the CEO
and/or President of People to People International.
ADMINISTRATION:
Written nominations for the Outstanding Leadership Award
at the National and Regional Council level may be submitted
to the Awards Liaison at People to People International
Headquarters who will then forward all nominations to
the President of People to People International at any
time. All written nominations must be received by May
1st. Nominations must include a maximum of two pages
of biographical information.
