Outstanding Leadership Award

AWARD:
The Outstanding Leadership Award is presented by People to People International to a leader at the Board of Directors level, the Board of Trustees level and/or the National and Regional Council level. No more than four (4) recipients of the Outstanding Leadership Award may be selected in any one (1) fiscal year (January through December). One recipient must be from each of four (4) regions (Americas/Asia-Pacific/Europe/Mid East-Africa).

CRITERIA:
The Outstanding Leadership Award may be presented to a member of the Board of Directors, Board of Trustees or National and Regional Council who has made a substantial contribution to People to People International on an international level for a minimum of six (6) years.

NOMINATION:
Written nominations for the Outstanding Leadership Award may be submitted by each of four (4) Vice Chairpersons of the Board of Trustees of People to People International to the Awards Committee in care of People to People International Headquarters.

SELECTION:
The Awards Committee will take recommendations from Vice Chairpersons of the Board of Trustees, make final selections and present them to the Board of Directors for information rather than approval during the June Board Meeting. No individual may receive more than one (1) such award in this category from People to People International.

PRESENTATION:
The Outstanding Leadership Award will be presented at the most appropriate time and place following the selection of the recipients. The presentation should reflect the dignity of the award. The Annual Board of Trustees Meeting or the Worldwide Conference are the customary affairs for the presentation. Another time and place may be selected if circumstances so dictate and are approved by the Board of Directors. The presentation should be made by the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

ADMINISTRATION:
Written nominations for the Outstanding Leadership Award may be submitted by a Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees to the Awards Liaison at People to People International Headquarters who will then forward all nominations to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors by any member of the Board of Directors at any time. All written nominations must be received by April 1st. Nominations must include a maximum of two pages of biographical information.
