Your charitable donation is an investment in a more peaceful world.
Gifts to People to People International are 100% tax deductible and can be used to support general operations, or you may designate your gift for a specific purpose.
- An Eisenhower Legacy Fund contribution provides PTPI with the most flexibility to use your gift where it is most needed now or into the future. Membership dues and program fees cover less than one-third of our expenses, meaning that Eisenhower Legacy Fund gifts support the programs and general mission of PTPI.
- International Friendship Fund contributions support our chapter projects and events, initiatives that advance the mission of PTPI, and humanitarian/service projects during PTPI travel programs.
- The late Ambassador Charles Hostler and his wife Chinyeh established the Hostler Scholarship Fund to enable deserving middle and high school students to participate in PTPI's programs for young people, which explores in-depth the concepts of international understanding, education, leadership, and humanitarianism.
- The John L. Cooper Youth Leadership Fund was formed by PTPI's Washington, D.C. (National Capitol Area) Chapter in recognition of chapter founder John L. Cooper's more than 30 years of service to PTPI and his commitment to the development of youth. The fund supports PTPI's student programs, primarily the Student Chapter Program, youth initiatives and scholarships.
A charitable contribution made as part of your estate plan can ensure PTPI’s work continues for generations to come. The simplest way is through a Charitable Bequest to People to People International in your will or living trust. You can structure the bequest to leave a financial gift of any amount, leave a specific item of value, make a gift contingent on certain events, or leave a percentage of your estate to PTPI. There are tax benefits as well if your estate is subject to estate taxes; your gift is entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the full value of the gift. To make a charitable bequest, all that is needed are a few sentences in a current will or revocable living trust. Contact your attorney, estate planner, or the PTPI Development Department to learn specifics.
Beneficiary designations for life insurance policies or retirement plans are another easy way to ensure your personal commitment to a more peaceful world. You only need to designate a dollar amount or percentage of the policy or plan and include People to People’s International’s EIN# on the beneficiary designation form to be filed with the insurance company or retirement plan provider.
